Murfitts Industries and Boynton Bros & Hallam (Ranskill) Ltd have been awarded the second and third Certificates of Qualification, demonstrating their support of the Quality Protocol option (QP) in PAS 107.
CONICA LTD, formerly Charles Lawrence International, is the first company in the UK to be awarded a PAS 107 QP certificate for the way it manufactures, stores and distributes recycled rubber granulate created from waste tyres.

The Tyre Recovery Association (TRA) is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a Recycling Day, by extending an invitation to the tyre industry, stakeholders and waste industries to participate. TRA adds Quality Protocol Option to PAS 107 – new standard will help sustainable tyre recycling
Proposals by the ESA – led ‘WISH’ group have been branded counter-intuitive and arrogant by Britain’s Tyre Recovery Association whose members handle more than three quarters of the country’s end-of-life tyre arisings.
The TRA is alarmed that registered exemption for waste tyres have reached record levels in England and Wales. Since 2012 the Association has been warning Ministers of the potential danger posed by weak supervision of exempt sites.
Munich based Serafin Group has acquired UK based companies Charles Lawrence International Ltd and Playtop Licensing Ltd. The transaction was completed on the 18th October 2013. The full press release can be viewed here
